
Ralph Manning is a founding partner of Progress Equity Partners, Ltd. a private investment firm that acquires majority control of well managed operating companies typically from founder entrepreneurs. Prior to forming Progress Equity, Mr. Manning was an investment partner in Transition Capital Partners, Ltd. making leveraged buyouts of middle market operating companies. Previously, Mr. Manning was an associate in the private investment firm of Rice Sangalis Toole & Wilson, ("RSTW"). RSTW invested over $850 million in a variety of subordinated debt and equity structures primarily in middle market transactions involving recapitalizations, strategic acquisitions, internal growth financings and leveraged buyouts.

As a director, his primary focus is to assist the board and senior management in developing and executing the Company’s strategy post closing and to facilitate the progression of each company into a professionally managed organization. Outside directorships include Chairman of the Board of St Jude’s Ranch for Children, Inc., a non profit provider of residential therapeutic foster home services for abused, abandoned and neglected children.
Mr. Manning received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1992 from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas and in 1991 completed a summer study abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England and continental Europe studying the integration of the European Economic Community. He earned a Graduate Finance Certificate in 1994 from the Cox School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
